The woman and child were found dead in a home on Vincent van Goghstraat on Monday. It was immediately clear that they had died violently, and the police launched a large-scale investigation.
The police conducted an extensive forensic investigation and interviewed several family members, neighbors, and other witnesses. They also interviewed the child’s father, but quickly announced that he wasn’t a suspect.
Out of respect for the family’s privacy, the police will share no further details.
