The police shot a man in his leg in Drachten on Thursday night. The suspect was shot as he tried to flee arrest, the Friesland police said on Twitter. He was one of 10 suspects arrested during raids in Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe. The reason behind these raids were not disclosed.

The shooting incident in Drachten happened on Lavendelheide. The injured suspect was taken to hospital for treatment. An extensive trace evidence investigation was done around his Volkswagen, according to the Leeuwarder Courant.

Heavily armed police officers raided an apartment in Vianen on Tuesday night as part of the investigation into the criminal organization allegedly run by Ridouan Taghi, who was arrested in Dubai on Monday. Relatives of Taghi live in the apartment and his sister Nora was arrested, according to various Dutch media.

The police arrested eight people on Tuesday morning as part of a large investigation into illegal arms traders who allegedly distributed hundreds of weapons over the last four years, the Rotterdam police said on social media and in a press conference later in the day. There were 14 raids as part of the police operation, including two business properties and a dozen homes.

The intensive search was stalled by the discovery of an explosive. Police officers asked members of the press to stay at a distance while explosive experts from the Ministry of Defense were called in to investigate, Omroep Brabant and De Telegraaf report.

The police and customs officers in the port of Rotterdam made two large cocaine busts over the weekend. They found a total of 1,250 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a shipment of produce and a shipment of fruit concentrate, the police said in a statement on Tuesday.

A 59-year-old man was arrested for a fatal shooting in Oss on Monday morning. The police raided the suspect's home on Molenweg in the Noord-Brabant city on Monday afternoon and found the man seriously injured inside. The police believe he tried to commit suicide, Omroep Brabant reports.

The man emerged as a suspect during the investigation into the shooting on Anna Bijnstraat, in which a 43-year-old man was killed. According to the broadcaster, the victim and suspect have had a business conflict for some time.

Raids and arrests are currently taking place in the four countries, ANP reports

Dozens of raids are being done in the Netherlands, a spokesperson for the Public Prosecutor said to the news wire. He could give no further information.

The police arrested two leaders of Caloh Wagoh on Wednesday morning and are currently raiding over 40 locations linked to the outlaw motorcycle gang. The two leaders, men aged 48 and 70, were arrested in Mijdrecht and Leiden. They're in custody for questioning, the police said in a statement.

The raids are being done by police units Den Haag, Midden Nederland, Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Oost Nederland. SWAT teams were deployed in various locations. This major police action, involving over 800 police officers, forms part of a larger investigation into undermining crime.

The police raided eight buildings in Utrecht, Nieuwengein, Vianen and Tiel on Tuesday morning for as yet unknown reasons. Seven people were arrested, the police said on Twitter.  

A spokesperson for the police would not tell NU.nl why the raids were done or what the detainees are suspected of, in the interest of the investigation. The spokesperson did say that the detainees are not suspected of terrorism.

Seven men arrested on Thursday were "already a long way" into their plans to commit a terrorist attack in the Netherlands, according to Minister Ferdinand Grapperhaus of Justice and Security. "It is very intense that there are people walking around who have this planned for us", he said to RTL Nieuws. 

"This is intense, but also good news", Grapperhaus said. "The police and the Public Prosecutor followed the men very closely. They were looking for AK47s and bomb belts, really terribly dangerous stuff."

Thirteen people were arrested during raids against a criminal network around organized cannabis cultivation in the Nieuwstraatkwartier in Almelo on Tuesday. The police also confiscated 13 vehicles and a firearm and broke down three cannabis farms, NU.nl reports.

The police have been investigating subversive activities in the neighborhood for some time. Over the past year 18 cannabis farms were dismantled as part of this investigation.

The police raided at least 15 locations in the south of the Netherlands on Monday morning as part of an ongoing investigation into drug production and trafficking. Six people were arrested, ANP reports.

In Echt, Limburg, the police found thousands of liters of raw materials used in the production of synthetic drugs. A drug lab and storage were found in Zaltbommel.

The police also raided locations in Venlo, Odiliapeel, Eindhoven, Den Bosch, Schijndel, Uden and Velden. What was found has not been revealed as yet.

Numerous weapons as well as police uniforms stolen during a robbery on a delivery van in February, were found during raids in Utrecht last month, the police said in a statement on Friday. A total of five suspects were arrested.

On March 20th the police arrested three suspects in connection with the delivery van robbery on February 27th and raided three homes and two garages in Utrecht. Two other suspects were arrested after the raids.

On Wednesday the police started searching a number of cellars, garages and sheds in the Amsterdam neighborhood of Wittenburg. They are looking for any suspicious situations that may have to do with recent fatal shootings in the neighborhood, Het Parool and AT5 report.

A video showing nude visitors to sauna SpaWell in Peize, Drenthe was found on popular porn site Xhamster. The video, which shows visitors showering, was uploaded to the site four years ago, Groningen blog Sikkom discovered.

Towels clearly showing the sauna's name can be seen in the video. It seems that it was recorded by a visitor who hid the camera in a bag. The video starts with the filmer directing the camera at the showering visitors, and the sound of a zipper can be heard.

On Tuesday the police and municipality of Amsterdam searched over 40 homes on Houtmankade as part of a joint action against housing fraud, money laundering, identity fraud and drug trafficking. A total of seven people were arrested, the police said in a statement.

The homes visited are all located in a housing block on Houtmankade and Houtmanstraat. The homes were visited based on signals received by the municipality.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of money laundering. Four others were arrested for hard drug possession.

The police raided a dozen locations in Oost-Brabant, Limburg and Gelderland early on Wednesday morning as part of an ongoing investigation into the trade of chemicals and narcotics. Five suspects were arrested, the police said in a statement.

The raids started at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Police officers stormed homes and storage units in Geldrop, Helmond, Someren, Venlo, Venray, Nieuw Bergen and Velddriel. The police are still searching through these locations, and expect that this will take up a large part of the day.

The police raided five homes in Utrecht, Bunschoten-Spakenburg and Amersfoort on Tuesday as part of a major investigation into a number of assassinations and attempted assassinations in the Utrecht region. Two persons from Bunschoten-Spakenburg, aged 24 and 33 years, were arrested. The police also seized four firearms and a number of other items, AD reports.
