Police officer shot during raid in Maastricht
A police officer was shot while raiding a home in Maastricht on Thursday morning. The police arrested two suspects.
The police raided the home on Sint Servaasbolwerk at 6:15 a.m. as part of an ongoing investigation. Someone inside the home shot the officer as he entered the building, the police said.
The officer sustained relatively minor injuries, the police said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The police provided no information on why they were raiding the home. They also said nothing about the identity of the suspects.
