Personnel data from a fruit wholesaler in Hedel, Gelderland accidentally ended up in the criminal file of a major cocaine investigation, the Public Prosecution Service in Oost-Nederland confirmed. In a statement, the Prosecutor said it regrets the state of affairs, stressing that there have never been indications that people were in immediate danger. Nevertheless, dozens of employees of the wholesaler are terrified of reprisals from the criminal underworld, RTL Nieuws reports.
In the first half of this year, the Dutch police registered 5,113 cases of aggression and violence against police officers. These figures are usually released on an annual basis, but the police decided to release provisional figures at the media's request after four cops were injured during arrests in Rotterdam over the weekend, NOS reports.
From this week the Dutch Ministry of Public Health is distributing iodine tablets in provinces located near nuclear plants. The pills are intended to protect against a certain type of radiation should there be a nuclear disaster. PVV leader Geert Wilders issued another deportation call on Twitter, posting a video of a "recent" fight between asylum seekers in a shelter in Apeldoorn. But according to the police, the video is just over a year old and the asylum center in which it was shot is not even open any more.

A Dutch police worker is suspected of offering MH17 related items for sale on online classifieds site Marktplaats. He was reassigned bending the outcome of the investigation. The worker was also arrested on suspicion of embezzlement, the police announced on Sunday.
From this autumn the police will work with private tracking companies when searching for stolen cars. This will be a trial run in Oost-Nederland at first. If it proves successful, the approach will be implemented in the rest of the country, NOS reports.

Dutch police discovered 6,006 illegal pot plantations in 2014, RTL Nieuws reports. Altogether, 950 plantations were detected in Oost-Nederland region alone, which is the highest number concentrated in any one part of the country, according to the police statistics.
Six members of Satudarah motorcycle club Satudarah were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of weapons possession or weapons trade. Two women were also arrested. The eight suspects had to announce themselves at the police station in East-Netherlands and were there arrested, a spokesperson for the East-Netherlands police says.
