A woman made use of Dutch foundling charity foundation Beschermde Wieg (Protected Cradle in English) for the first time last week. She used one of the foundations "foundling rooms" and anonymously left her newly born baby in the hands of the foundation's volunteers
The police are urgently looking for the mother of the baby that was abandoned in The Hague just after midnight on Tuesday. They are very concerned about the mother's medical and emotional well being.
A newborn baby was discovered in the garden of a home on Larensestraat in The Hague during the early hours of Tuesday morning. A note saying that the mother already had two children and can not take care of this one, was found with the baby, according to local residents.
