Video: Bullet flies through city bus in Rotterdam shooting
A man was injured in a shooting in Rotterdam on Monday. Several shots were fired, and a bullet also went through a city bus. About ten people were on the bus. None of them got hurt.
The shooting happened at around 7:00 p.m. on Oranjeboomstraat in the Feijenoord district, the police said. One man was shot. He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The bullet that hit the bus entered through the window on one side of the vehicle and exited the bus via an opposite window. About ten passengers were on the bus at the time, a spokesperson for RET, the public transport company in Rotterdam, told Rijnmond. “They were sitting in the back, but no one got hurt.” The driver was also unharmed.
The police arrested a suspect. Officers used a taser during the arrest. According to RTL Nieuws, the man had an injury on his face. The police are investigating his role in the shooting.
Investigators asked witnesses and people with relevant camera footage to come forward.
