Belgian police: 71-Year-old Dutch man missing in Ardennen needs urgent medical care

Belgian police are searching for a 71-year-old Dutch man who went missing Saturday in the Ardennen, saying he urgently requires medical care.

Dirk Kruis was last seen at about 3 p.m. in Durbuy, in Belgium’s province of Luxemburg. He was riding an electric bicycle equipped with red saddlebags, police reports.

Authorities described Kruis as stocky, with white hair and glasses. He was last seen wearing a blue bicycle helmet, blue shorts and a white polo shirt with a black pattern.

Belgian police stress that the missing man is in need of “urgent medical care.”
