Man hospitalized after shooting outside Rotterdam restaurant; Two suspects arrested
A 36-year-old man was hospitalized with a gunshot wound following an altercation on Groene Hilledijk in Rotterdam-Feijenoord Saturday evening, Rijnmond reports. Two suspects have been taken into custody.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. outside a restaurant on the street, where a dispute escalated and shots were fired. A restaurant employee reportedly pressed a panic button, allowing police to respond quickly.
Authorities arrested two men on Dordtsestraatweg in Rotterdam-Vreewijk. Both were riding fatbikes and were held at gunpoint during the apprehension.
According to emergency responders, the injured man initially presented himself at Ikazia Hospital before being urgently transferred to Erasmus Medical Center for further treatment. His current condition has not been disclosed.
