Two seriously injured in Son stabbing; suspect also hurt

Two people were seriously injured in a stabbing at a house in Son on Saturday evening, police said. One victim was described as “considerably seriously injured.”

A suspect, apprehended shortly after the incident, also sustained injuries, according to Omroep Brabant.

The stabbing was reported on Kanaalstraat around 7:10 p.m. Emergency services, including two ambulances and a trauma helicopter, were dispatched immediately. Medical personnel treated the victims on site before transporting them to a hospital.

Police confirmed that a suspect was arrested in the area about half an hour after the initial report. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and further investigation.
