Suspect arrested after stabbing in Horn leaves one injured late Friday
A man was injured in a stabbing in Horn late Friday, and a 35-year-old suspect from Haelen was arrested shortly afterward, police said.
The stabbing occurred around 11:45 p.m. on Kloppe-Ven. The victim was wounded and transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.
Police said the suspect fled in an unknown direction immediately after the incident. Authorities launched a search and issued a Burgernet alert to help locate him. He was arrested shortly after 12:30 a.m. overnight into Saturday. The motive for the stabbing remains unclear, and police said an investigation is ongoing.
Police said they want to get in contact with people who saw anything related to the incident in Horn and are asking whether anyone witnessed the event or has camera footage showing what happened. Authorities urged those individuals to contact police.
