Driver killed in head-on collision with truck in Rijsbergen

A driver died Saturday morning in a head-on collision with a truck on the Bredaseweg (N263) in Rijsbergen. The crash occurred around 6:45 a.m., police said.

According to BN DeStem, the solo driver of the car, whose identity has not been released, for unknown reasons crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with the truck.

Emergency services, including police, fire fighters, and ambulance teams, responded immediately, and a trauma helicopter also landed at the scene. The driver died on impact.

Authorities closed the Bredaseweg completely while the crash investigation is ongoing. The truck driver was not injured in the accident.
