Two unexplained deaths in Gelderland prompt police investigations

Police in Gelderland are investigating two separate deaths after bodies were found Friday in Voorthuizen and Nijkerk, Omroep Gelderland reports.

In Voorthuizen, authorities discovered a deceased woman in a home on the Lange Zuiderweg bungalow park Friday evening.

“Forensic investigators were at the property shortly after the discovery to secure potential evidence,” police said. “We are investigating the cause of her death. A crime has not been ruled out.”

Earlier the same day in nearby Nijkerk, police found another deceased person inside a vehicle on Edisonstraat. Authorities are working to confirm the individual’s identity and determine the cause of death. Police said it is currently unknown whether the two deaths are connected.
