Video: Woman, 79, killed in hit-and-run in Schijndel

A 79-year-old woman from Rijnsburg died in a hit-and-run on Landingsweg in Schijndel on Sunday night. The police are looking for the driver who fled the scene after hitting the woman with their car.

The woman was last seen at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday and reported missing two hours later. Officers found her body on the side of the road a short time later. She had already died from serious injuries, the Oost-Brabant police said on X.

The police cordoned off the scene of the accident for a forensic investigation.

The police asked anyone with information about the perpetrator or the vehicle involved to come forward.
