Car crashes into graveyard at Dedemsvaart cemetery

A car crash disrupted the quiet of a cemetery in Dedemsvaart on Saturday evening after a driver lost control of his vehicle and ended up among the graves, Hart van Nederland reports.

The incident occurred at the cemetery on Stegeren in the Overijssel town. The car veered off the road, broke through a thick hedge, and landed on its side between headstones.

According to a correspondent at the scene, the driver managed to exit the vehicle without assistance. He reportedly sustained minor injuries.

Authorities have yet to determine whether any graves or headstones were damaged in the accident. Investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

No further details about the driver’s identity or the condition of the cemetery were immediately available.
