Photo released of suspect in Rotterdam rapper's murder

The police released the identity and photo of the suspect in the murder of rap artist Feis in Rotterdam on New Year's morning. The suspect is 25-year-old Silfano Junior M., nickname 'Fano'. He was identified based on tips and extensive investigation, the police said on Opsporing Verzocht on Tuesday.

Faisal Mssyeh, the rapper's real name, and his brother were shot on Gouvernestraat in Rotterdam at around 4:00 a.m. on January 1st. Feis died at the scene. His brother was seriously injured. He awoke from a coma earlier this month. According to the police, the shooting followed a quarrel in a club. "A senseless bar fight which they had nothing to do with seems to be the reason", the police said in a previous statement.

The police believe that the suspect may be hiding somewhere in the Netherlands, though there are also stories making the rounds that he is hiding abroad. Investigators call on anyone with information about the man's whereabouts to come forward. The police warn not to approach the suspect yourself if you spot him, but call the police.
