Summer weather gives way to cool Ascension day

The Netherlands has two more days of summer high temperatures, before the weather cools down again, Buienradar expects. Ascension day on Thursday will be cool, with maximums no higher than 15 degrees.

Tuesday will be a beautiful summer's day. "It is the hottest day of the week, with maximum around 27 degrees. Locally it will be 29 degrees in the southeast", Maurice Middendorp of Buienradar said to RTL Nieuws. Wednesday will also be warm, if more cloudy. Maximum temperatures will range from 23 degrees along the coast to 25 degrees inland.

On Wednesday afternoon, the wind will turn to the northwest, and bring cooler air into the country. "Ascension day will be more than 10 degrees colder", according to Middendorp. "In the morning a rainy area will pull out of the country. The sun will break through every now and again after that, but in the afternoon new showers will emerge."
