Man found critically injured in car parked in Breda parking lot

A man was found critically injured in a car on Isenburgstraat in Breda on Thursday night. The police believe he was assaulted. The injured man was taken to hospital, AD reports.

Witnesses saw two perpetrators flee around 11:10 p.m. The car the man was found in was parked in a parking ot near the Broekakker. The car's windows were broken and its tailgate stood open.

A short time after the police first received the report about the wounded man, two cars crashed into each other on Academisingel in the city. The passengers of one car got out and ran away. As far as is known, no one was injured in the accident.

The police are investigating whether the two incidents are related.
