Dutch boy, 14, injures three cops while resisting arrest

A 14-year-old boy injured three police officers while resisting arrest in Hillegom, Zuid-Holland on Thursday. The boy was pulled over for driving a scooter without a helmet through the village, ANP reports.

The teenager started by insulting and threatening the two female cops who pulled him over. When they told him he was under arrest, he lost it and attacked the two officers. One officer was kicked in the face three times by the boy. He also injured a third officer who arrived at the incident as backup.

Two of the officers had to be treated in hospital for their injuries. All three pressed charges against the boy.

The teenager is in custody.
