Fourth suspect in Hellevoetsluis shooting turns self in

A 24-year-old man from Hellevoetsluis turned himself in at a police station in Dordrecht on Thursday. He was internationally wanted for a fatal shooting in his home-town on Boxing Day. This means that all four suspects in the case is now in custody, the police said in a statement.

On December 26th two men were critically injured in a shooting in a home in Hellevoetsluis. The first victim, 29-year-old man from Hellevoetsluis, died that same night. The second, a 22-year-old from Rotterdam, died in hospital a few hours later.

The police quickly identified four suspects in the case and called on them to turn themselves in. The first, a 29-year-old man did so on December 30th at a police station in Dordrecht. On January 2nd the police arrested a 50-year-old man at his home. And on January 3rd a 23-year-old man turned himself in at a police station in Rotterdam.

All four suspects are from Hellevoetsluis and all four are still in custody. They are suspected of involvement in murder or manslaughter. The motive of the shooting is still unclear.
