Man seriously wounded in shooting at highway gas station near Muiden

A man was seriously injured in a shooting at a gas station along the A1 highway near Muiden on Sunday evening, the police reported on X.

VLN Nieuws reported that the victim was resuscitated at the scene before being rushed to the hospital.

The police received a report of shots being fired at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday. The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Honswijck gas station near Muiden.

Police searched the area for the suspect. No arrests have been reported.

Investigators cordoned off the crime scene for forensic investigation.
