Video: 24-year-old dies in Uden car crash; Other driver unharmed

A 24-year-old man from Uden died Saturday evening after his car collided with another vehicle on the Lippstadtsingel (N264).

According to the police, the crash occurred shortly after 8:00 p.m. near a road split, leaving the road covered in debris.

Emergency services arrived quickly but could not save the Uden man. The driver of the second car was unharmed and “was able to step out on his own,” a police spokesperson told RTL Nieuws. “That is quite a miracle, considering the other driver died.”

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Police said no arrests have been made and that determining the circumstances may take several days.

Authorities are considering all scenarios; however, “It is too early to comment on any possible involvement of alcohol or drugs,” the spokesperson added.
