20-year-old dies in head-on collision with truck in Ritthem

A 20-year-old man from Oost-Souburg died Saturday morning after his car collided head-on with a truck on Europaweg Noord, AD reported.

Despite medical efforts, the driver died at the scene. The truck driver was not injured.

The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. Emergency services, including fire crews, multiple ambulances, and police, responded immediately.

The road was closed for several hours while responders worked at the scene. Police have launched an investigation.
