One injured in three-car crash on A67 near Helenaveen

One person was injured in a three-car collision on the A67 highway from Venlo toward Eindhoven near Helenaveen early Saturday morning, Omroep Brabant reported.

The cars collided in a head-on rear-end crash and came to rest on the shoulder, scattered over several dozen meters. Emergency services, including police, ambulances, and fire crews, responded immediately. A trauma helicopter was initially called, but was not required.

The injured person was taken by ambulance to a hospital. Occupants of the other vehicles were uninjured.

The A67 was closed for several hours between the Panningen and Liessel exits while authorities cleared the wreckage and investigated the cause of the crash. Police continue to investigate.
