Traffic problems around Rotterdam due to Tour de France Femmes
The Tour de France Femmes will cause traffic issues in Zuid-Holland on Monday and Tuesday. The public works department Rijkswaterstaat will close multiple highways and exits for the first three stages of the cycling race. Traffic will be diverted around Rotterdam, The Hague, Dordrecht, and the municipalities between them.
On Monday afternoon, the final of the first stage from Rotterdam to Kijkduin will go via Schiedam, Vlaardingen, and Westland, and through the Schilderswijk and along the Zuiderpark in The Hague. Road users will suffer inconvenience from approximately 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Rijkswaterstaat said.
Two Tour de France Femmes stages will also happen in the Netherlands on Tuesday. First, the cyclists will ride from Dordrecht to Rotterdam. Then, there will be a time trial in Rotterdam later in the day. This will affect traffic on the Erasmus Bridge and Willems Bridge, among other places.
Rotterdam roads will be closed in several places on both days, and parking will be restricted. Exactly which roads will be impacted can be seen here.
