Road closures in Zuid-Holland for Tour de France Femmes
The women's cycling competition, the Tour de France Femmes, will cause some road closures next Monday and Tuesday in Zuid-Holland. Rijkswaterstaat will close various A and N roads and exits and divert traffic for the first three stages. Road limitations were also in Rotterdam, The Hague, Dordrecht, and the municipalities between these areas.
A few roads will be closed in the city center of Rotterdam between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday during the festivities in anticipation of the start of the cycling competition. Roads will also be temporarily closed on Monday and Tuesday, and parking will be banned. Parts of The Hague will also not be reachable on Monday afternoon.
The final stage of the first stage from Rotterdam to Kijkduin goes via Schiedam, Vlaardingen, and the Westland and passes through the Schilderswijk and along the Zuiderpark in The Hague. The organization reported that the nuisance is from around 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The municipalities promised that the roads would open as quickly as possible after the cyclists had passed.
Cyclists will also pass the Blankenburg connection with the Maasdeltatunnel on Monday during the stage from Rotterdam to The Hague. This toll tunnel under construction will not open to road traffic until December 7. There are two stages on Tuesday. First, there is a stage in line from Dordrecht to Rotterdam, and later in the day, there is a time trial in Rotterdam that goes over the Erasmus Bridge and the Willems Bridge.
