Photos: Zuid-Limburg gets a layer of snow
The southern parts of Limburg got some snowfall on Friday. The higher areas in the hills had a layer of snow between 3 and 8 centimeters deep, even reaching 10 centimeters on the Vaalserberg, Weeronline reported.
As temperatures in the area remained below freezing, the snow stuck around for a while. Meteorological institute KNMI warned that this could cause slippery roads.
The rest of the Netherlands is unlikely to see any snow this weekend.
