One held in driver’s murder as toddler daughter sat in back seat

A 49-year-old man was arrested in Amsterdam on Friday. He is suspected of involvement in the death of 34-year-old Seif Ahmed from Amsterdam on October 1st, the police said in a statement.

Ahmed was found dying of a gunshot wound in his car on Buitensingel in Amsterdam-Duivendrecht. His 14-month-old daughter was in the backseat of the car.

First responders tried to resuscitate the Amsterdam hairdresser, but it was to no avail. He died at the the scene. The little girl was physically unharmed. 

The arrested suspect is in restricted custody, which means that he is only allowed contact with his lawyer. Exactly how he is suspected of being involved in Ahmed's murder, the police did not say.
