Pimp in child sex trafficking case convicted for kidnapping ex-girlfriend

Armin A., a 25-year-old man convicted of forcing an underage girl to work as a prostitute in Valkenburg in 2015, has again been sentenced to prison. The court in Maastricht sentenced him to 2.5 years in prison with institutionalized psychiatric treatment for abducting and assaulting his ex-girlfriend. He was also found guilty of drug trafficking and burglary, RTL Nieuws reports.

The court considered it proven that the man abducted his ex-girlfriend and then assaulted her in January 2018. The incident happened after he kicked her out of their home and ended the relationship. Out of fear of being beaten by him, the woman fled into the street in a panic. A passerby called the police. That made A. so angry that he abducted the woman from her parental home and badly abused her, according to the broadcaster.

In 2015 A. was sentenced to two years in prison in the Valkenburg case. He was convicted for forcing a minor girl to work as a prostitute in a hotel in Valkenburg in 2014. He forced the then 16-year-old girl to have paid sex with dozens of customers. A. attacked his ex-girlfriend after serving his sentence in the underage prostitution case.

A total of 29 men were prosecuted for having paid sex with the minor girl. Some of them were sentenced to a few months in prison, others were given community service.
