Cleaning crew finds two hand grenades at N. Brabant lounge

A cleaning crew found two hand grenades left outside sisha lounge Pure Lounge on Antwerpsestraatweg in Bergen op Zoom on Tuesday morning. A cleaner found one grenade just outside the lounge's front door, her colleague found the second one in the parking lot, she said to Omroep Brabant.

The police responded to the lounge at around 10:25 a.m., after the cleaners called them. After an initial examination, the Ministry of Defense's explosive disposal department was called in to collect and safely remove the explosives, the police said in a statement. After the grenades were removed, the Netherlands Forensic Institute performed further investigation while police officers spoke to witnesses and secured trace evidence.

The two cleaning ladies found the grenades when they arrived at work. "We had to make sure we got away. I'm still shaking", one of them said to Omroep Brabant. "This is something you see in a movie. I like to watch that kind of action movie, but I don't like it now."
