Yet more thunderstorms trigger 5th weather warning in a week

The Netherlands will face more thunderstorms during the course of Monday afternoon and evening. Meteorological institute KNMI issued a code yellow warning for the entire country, warning that the storms may be accompanied by strong winds and hail.

The storms will first hit the southern provinces of Zeeland and Noord-Brabant at around 2:00 p.m. They will then slowly move northwards across the country to leave via Groningen and the Waddenzee area around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning. "Traffic and outside activities may be hindered. Avoid open water and open areas, do not shelter under trees", the KNMI warns.

This is the fifth thunderstorm warning the meteorological institute issued in a week. The country was hit by severe storms on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
