Humeyra was gunned down at the bicycle storage of her school on December 18th. She died at the scene. Main suspect Bekir E. was arrested shortly after the shooting. The police believe he was the gunman. E. is still in custody.

Last week the police also arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of involvement in the teen girl's death, but he has since been released from custody. The Public Prosecutor appealed against the decision to release the man.

Investigation showed that E. went to the Designncollege with at least two other persons.

Since May the teenage girl filed multiple police declarations against E. for stalking, threats, and assault. The last declaration was filed on December 11th, after E. sent her photos of himself with a firearms.
