Two found dead in Sittard home

Two people were found dead in an apartment on Beethovenstraat in Sittard on Monday evening. The victims' identity and cause of death are still under investigation. "We take multiple scenarios into account", a spokesperson for the police said to NU.nl.

Police officers found the two bodies around 8:00 p.m. The apartment was closed down as a crime scene. Technical detectives performed investigations in the apartment, as well as the staircase of the four floor apartment building.

The police are also speaking to local residents.
