Suspect's photo released in random Groningen shooting that left student paralyzed

The police released the name and photo of a 20-year-old man wanted for a shooting in Groningen that left a 21-year-old student paralyzed from the waist down. Two other suspects are already in custody.

The police gave the third suspect an ultimatum - if he does not turn himself in before the broadcast of Opsoring Verzocht on Tuesday night, the police will release his name and photo. The suspect did not turn himself in, so the police went through with their threat.

"Who knows where this man, 20-year-old Azim Aynaci, stays?" the police ask on their website.

The police believe that Aynaci is the one who pulled the trigger in the shooting on Korreweg on 15 October. The student was a random target, the police believe.
