More rain hits already soggy Noord Brabant, Limburg
Noord-Brabant and Limburg can expect even more heavy rainfalls this morning, according to weather radar site Buitenradar. Rain over the past weeks already left the area with flooded streets and tunnels. And so far the weather shows little chance of changing - the KNMI predicts a 70 - 80 percent chance of rain every day until the weekend.
Eindhoven in particular had problems with the rain on Monday. Numerous tunnels flooded and the police even had to close the Elisabeth tunnel in the late afternoon after a few cars got stuck. A number of streets were also under water. According to Omroep Brabant, manhole covers were washed away by the water at the Gagelstraat and Willemstraat intersection.
Hoogeloon also had flooding problems, with a number of residents complaining on social media about having to sail home on Monday afternoon.

Dat gevaar moeten we wegnemen. Voor dit soort gevallen schakelen we de politie in. ^MvG
