17-year old foils armed robbery

A 17-year old youth prevented an armed robber from entering his house in Voorschoten on Saturday evening. The burglar was wearing a hood and was carrying a firearm when he rang the doorbell at the house on the Van Oldenbarneveltplantsoen in Voorschoten. When the boy opened the door, the man demanded the mobile phones of the residents. The boy slammed the door in the robber's face, and the man left without his loot. Police are still on the look-out for the man.
