It has to become easier to share information about criminals, regardless of strict privacy rules, Minister Ferdinand Grapperhaus of Justice and Security said to the Telegraaf in an interview. His comments were in response to Rotterdam mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb who also raised concerns about this issue.
Spijkenisse replaced the road crossing sign at its town hall with a sign inviting people to do the "Silly Walk" when they cross the street. The sign shows a man with a bowler hat and brief case, flinging his leg high up into the air.
The new sign is a reference to a Monty Phython sketch, in which actor John Cleese is an official for the Ministry of Silly Walks.
Geert Wilders and his PVV won city council seats seats in each one of the 30 municipalities the party participated in during the municipal elections on Wednesday. In total the PVV currently stands on 74 seats, the Volkskrant reports.
During the previous municipal elections four years ago, the PVV only participated in two municipalities - Almere and The Hague. The party got fewer seats in those two municipalities this time around. In Almere the party dropped from nine to seven seats, and in The Hague from seven to two seats.
On December 29th, an experiment will start with running night subways in Rotterdam and its surrounding areas. For one year, transit company RET will run subways on all lines for an hour longer on Fridays and Saturdays. This means that the last subway will leave Rotterdam at 1:30 a.m., AD reports.

The initial results of the municipal elections are in. The elections took place on Wednesday in 16 municipalities. Six new municipalities were formed. As expected it appears that local parties scored well.
