The Dutch population is gradually losing its enthusiasm about a possible withdrawal from the European Union, according to a recent poll by Maurice de Hond.
Despite PVV leader Geert Wilders' insistence, there will be no referendum on whether or not the Netherlands will stay in the European Union. Other party leaders and the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of Dutch parliament, are against a so-called Nexit referendum.
PVV leader Geert Wilders thinks that the Netherlands should follow Britain's example and hold a referendum on whether or not to stay in the European Union. He feels that should a Brexit indeed happen, the Netherlands should be the next country to take that step, the PVV leader said to BNR.
The majority of Dutch people wan a referendum on whether or not the Netherlands should stay part of the European Union, like the Brits are doing later this week. In a poll by EenVandaag among 27 thousand people, 54 percent voted for a so-called Nexit referendum.
