Support for Nexit dwindles
The Dutch population is gradually losing its enthusiasm about a possible withdrawal from the European Union, according to a recent poll by Maurice de Hond.
Currently 52 percent of Dutch voters would vote against a so-called Nexit, should there be a referendum. Three weeks ago 46 percent were against a Nexit. 40 percent are still pro-Nexit, compared to 43 percent in June.
A 56 percent majority think a Nexit referendum unnecessary, compared to 50 percent in the previous poll, held on 19th June.
PVV voters are still overwhelmingly in favor of a Nexit referendum and the Netherlands leaving the EU.
