A malfunction in Eindhoven Airport's baggage system on Tuesday morning caused some issues at the airport. All departures from the airport were delayed. Some passengers missed their flights. And some flights left with not all baggage on board, NOS reports.

Due to the malfunction, all baggage had to be checked in manually. "That takes much longer than through the normal system", a spokesperson for the airport said to NOS.

A few thousand suitcases were left behind at Schiphol Airport after a malfunction in the baggage system over the weekend. There is currently so much luggage at the airport, that some suitcases are even stored under an overpass on the site, NH Nieuws reports.

The malfunction happened on Saturday and was fixed that same day. "We are now in the process of sending the suitcases, but because it involves a few thousand, it takes a while", a spokesperson for the airport said to the regional broadcaster.

A malfunction with the payment terminals at Ahold stores has been resolved, the company reported on Tuesday morning. The malfunction left customers of Albert Heijn, Etos, and Gall & Gall unable to pay with their debit cards on Monday afternoon, ANP reports.

All bridges and locks in the province of Flevoland are out of order on Thursday due to malfunction. When the problem will be fixed is not yet clear, said FlevoVaarwegen, the province's official twitter account for information on waterworks.

The malfunction occurred at around 11:00 a.m. Technicians are on site to try and fix the problems.

The Borssele nuclear power plant will remain shut down in the coming days for an extensive inspection. The plant shut down automatically on Saturday afternoon due to a malfunction. Operations will only restart after the inspection is done and the cause of the malfunction is found, a spokesperson for the Zeeland electricity producer EPZ said to newspaper AD.

The malfunction occurred in the reactor safety system. "The nuclear power plant is designed in such a way that it automatically goes to a safe state", the spokesperson said. The cause of the malfunction is under investigation.
