Four more Dutch people returned to The Netherlands on Sunday after they were extracted from Wuhan, China over coronavirus concerns. Two Chinese relatives of the Dutch passengers also arrived on the flight, which landed at Eindhoven Air Base.
In the investigation into the criminal organization allegedly run by Ridouan Taghi, who was arrested in Dubai on Monday, the Dutch police raided eight homes and arrested six people on Tuesday night. The suspects are five men and a woman between the ages of 29 and 45 years, the police said on Wednesday.
The Defense Inspectorate launched investigations into two serious accidents at the Ministry of Defense, the Inspectorate said on its website.
The first incidents concerns a "serious injury to a soldier". The soldier was hurt during training at the Brigade Special Security Command in Huis ter Heide in October 2017.
The second investigation involves a F-16 fighter jet at the air base in Leeuwarden. The aircraft sustained "considerable damage" during shooting practice on the training ground for fighter aircraft on Vleiland on January 21st this year.

On Thursday evening, a bicycle was found in the pond that looks like the one belonging to the missing Utrecht woman, who disappeared while cycling last week Friday, AD reports.
In addition to a jacket, more clothes were found that "almost certainly" belong to missing 25-year-old Anne Faber next to Amerfoortseweg in Huis ter Heide on Tuesday, police spokesperson Bernhard Jens confirmed. The police hope that they will be able to conclusively determine whether the clothes belong to the missing Utrecht woman today. Sniffer dogs are currently searching for other traces of the missing woman in the area where the clothing was found, AD reports.
On Tuesday night television program Opsporing Verzocht paid attention to the disappearance of 25-year-old Anne Faber from Utrecht. She went missing while cycling on Friday. During and after the broadcast, the police received dozens of tips about the young woman. All tips will be investigated, RTL Nieuws reports.
During the early hours of Friday morning the police caught two burglars in the act of breaking into an office building of the Seventh Day Adventisists in Huis ter Heide, the same building used as Sinterklaas' house in the Sinterklaasjournaal every year. It took the police some time to track the burglars down in the building, but they were eventually found stuck between two walls
