Klaas Otto, founder of outlaw motorcycle gang No Surrender, is pressing slander charges against Breda chief prosecutor Charles van der Voort and Bergen op Zoom mayor Frank Petter, his lawyer Louis de Leon confirmed to AD. The reason for the charges is recent publications in the Volkskrant and the Telegraaf in which Van der Voort linked Otto to two assassinations and Petter called him a professional criminal.
A former member of motorcycle gang No Surrender was sentenced to 18 years in prison for murdering fellow gang member Hugo van Houten two years ago. The court considered it proven that Sooi de C. shot and killed 27-year-old Van Houten at a campsite in Molenschot, Noord-Brabant, NOS reports.
Romania etradited former No Surrender member Sooi de C. to the Netherlands. He was taken into Dutch custody on Tuesday and will be arrainged later this week, the police and Public Prosecutor confirmed to ANP.
