Police in the Netherlands arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the stabbings of three teenagers on the Grote Marktstraat in Den Haag. The man, with no fixed address, was being taken to a police station where investigators planned to interrogate him, Den Haag police said in a statement.

No suspected motive was released immediately after the arrest. Earlier on Saturday, authorities went so far as to say, "The precise nature of the incident is currently unclear."

The three victims in a stabbing Friday evening in the Hague were all minor children, the police said in a statement. The motive behind the knifings near a Hudson's Bay department store at about 7:45 p.m. was still unknown hours later.

All three victims were released from an area hospital, police confirmed.

Three people were hurt in a stabbing on the Grote Marktstraat ​at the Hudson's Bay in Den Haag, police said. The incident happened on Friday night while shoppers in the area filled the street searching for Black Friday sales.

No suspects were in custody two hours after the violence took place. Police were searching for a male between 45 and 50 years of age, with slightly tanned skin, though it was not immediately clear if he was a suspect in the case. He was wearing a black jacket and a scarf over a gray track suit.

Just two years after opening its first Dutch store in Amsterdam, Hudson's Bay announced that it is leaving the Netherlands. The Canadian department store chain will close its 15 Dutch branches, where around 1,400 people work, by the end ot this year, NOS reports.

After rumors surfaced last month that Hudson's Bay is planning to withdraw from the Netherlands, the Canadian department store chain now stressed that no decision has been made yet. A spokesperson for the company did say that the Dutch branch is underperforming and that the strategy is being re-examined, Financieele Dagblad reports.

The latest business struggling to cope in the Dutch retail scene is Canadian department store chain Hudson's Bay. Only two years after entering the Dutch market, the parent company is looking to cut back, which may include closing stores.

Hudson's Bay is struggling in the Netherlands. The 13 department stores in the country are suffering a loss of 80 million euros this year, and layoffs may be ahead, the Telegraaf reports based on internal documents.

A spokesperson for Hudson's Bay in the Netherlands did not want to say much to the newspaper, only saying that it is "clear that something is going to happen, but the new owners still have to make a decision".

After a few delays, the Netherlands first Hudson's Bay opened its doors on the Rokin in Amsterdam on Tuesday morning. A significant crowd gathered in front of the store for the opening at 10:00 a.m., most lured by the promise of free goodie bags, Het Parool reports.

A plan to rescue Dutch department store V&D came to a sudden end on Tuesday when potential buyer Coolinvestments pulled out of talks with the retail outlet's bankruptcy curators. Coolinvestments, a local firm owned by clothing industry magnate Roland Kahn, said it was simply not possible to get all parties involved onboard with their vision of a relaunch.

Stores of bankrupt retailer V&D will be closed for at least Monday and Tuesday, during which time the stores' stock will be inventoried. Whether or not they will reopen after Tuesday, depends on negotiations about a takeover or restart, the bankruptcy administrators announced on Monday
