The Public Prosecutor has demanded an 18 month prison sentence, eight of which conditionally suspended, against Micheal van der K. for his involvement in the Schilderswijk riots early in Junes. His case is one of the last to appear in court in a series of trials related to the riots.

On Tuesday the police court in The Hague convicted 5 men of committing acts of violence during the third night of rioting in Schilderswijk, The Hague two weeks ago. They were all sentenced to a combination of prison time and community service. Most of them also received a location ban for Schilderswijk. A total of 7 suspects appeared in court on Tuesday.
