Seven more rioters to face court today

Another seven people suspected of involvement in the riots in Schilderswijk, The Hague after the death of Mitch Henriquez, will be appearing in court on Monday. The seven suspects include six men from The Hague and one from Naaldwijk, between the ages of 19 and 41 years old. Most of them are suspected of throwing stones at a police van. Two are suspected of sedition, RTL Nieuws reports. The first four rioters appeared in court on Friday. One of them was sentenced to four weeks in prison, two of which suspended. They were charged with threatening police officers and sedition. The riots started after the death of Aruban man Mitch Henriquez. He passed away on June 28th, after being arrested at a music festival in The Hague the day before. The autopsy on his body revealed the most likely cause of death to be suffocation, likely brought on by a police chokehold during his arrest.
