A study by travel organization Expedia revealed that Dutch people are the wildest skiers in the world. They are the biggest drinkers of all ski enthusiast and are not averse to being naked, or even having sex on the slope, according to the study, RTL Nieuws reports.

Expedia surveyed 13 thousand skiers over the age of 18 from 13 different countries. The survey revealed that Austria is the favorite skiing destination, mainly due to the great apres ski culture in the country. And especially Dutch people make good use of this culture.

Foreign tourists are increasingly joining King's Day celebrations in Amsterdam, according to online travel agency Expedia. Compared to last year, significantly more foreign tourists, specifically Italians, Brits and Americans, booked hotels in the Dutch capital around King Willem-Alexander's birthday on April 27th, BNR reports.

The number of Italians in Amsterdam on King's day almost doubled compared to last year. The number of American tourists increased by 25 percent.

It seems many guidebooks written about the Netherlands either haven't been updated in several years, or some travellers simply refuse to buy new editions, as online travel agency Expedia is seeing a sharp increase in hotel bookings to the Netherlands for April 30, a representative told the NL Times. The date has not been celebrated in the Netherlands as Queen's Day, since Beatrix abdicated the throne for her son, Willem-Alexander on April 30, 2013.

Foreign investments in the Dutch economy topped €3.2 billion last year, a record amount of money according to the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA).

The agency, an operational unit of the ministries of Economic Affairs and Foreign Affairs, released its annual report today that states that in total 187 new investment projects were achieved including headquarters, manufacturing facilities, and data centers. These investments will lead to 6,304 extra jobs.
