First time buyers can no longer afford buying in one of the large cities, AD reports.

Nearly 40 percent of Dutch employees live and work in the same municipality, according to figures for 2015 Statistics Netherlands published on Thursday. The average Dutch worker work 22.6 kilometers from their home. Workers in the big cities and people living on the outskirts of the Netherlands, such as on the Wadden Islands, in particular tend to live where they work, NU.nl reports.

Almost 11 percent of children in the Netherlands were receiving treatment from youth support last year, Statistics Netherlands announced on Friday. Youth support helps and treats kids below the age of 18 who have psychological problems, mental disorders or educational problems.

The PVV plans to take part in the municipal elections of 60 municipalities spread over all 12 Dutch provinces next year, party leader Geert Wilders announced in an interview with AD on Wednesday.

The party will take part in the local elections of municipalities in which the PVV has a lot of support, such as Spijkenisse, Edam-Volendam and Ruchpen and medium sized towns like Nieuwegein, Vlaardingen and Zoetermeer. The PVV will also go for municipalities where the party did well during the parliamentary election last month.

No other municipality has produced as many players for the Dutch national football team as Amsterdam, NU's survey reveals. Since the first days of the Oranje a total of 98 players were born in Amsterdam, while Rotterdam took second on the list with its 80 players on the national team.
