A Ukrainian salvage service is planning another mission to search for and recover both MH17 wreckage and victims' belongings, the chairman of a local village council said to BNR. Natalja Volosjina, in charge of the village council of Petropavlovka, believes it will be safe enough for another salvage mission after the winter, and she hopes that a team from the Netherlands will also take part.

Pro-Russion separatists in eastern Ukraine have denied Dutch investigators access to Luhansk area, the Pubic Prosecutor announced on Saturday. The investigators needed to do technical research into cell towers and the telephone network in the area as part of the criminal investigation into the downing of flight MH17.

Russian opposition newspaper Novaya Gazeta claims to have obtained a confidential analytical report on the MH17 crash that suggests it was a BUK-M1 missile that shot down the plane. The newspaper believes it is likely a report by official Russian military experts, and will be submitted to Dutch and international experts investigating the crash.

The United Nations has decided to to support the Minsk political agreement, but has also clearly stated that the perpetrators involved in the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 must not get amnesty, Minister Bert Koenders of Foreign Affairs said.

Dutch Foreign Affairs Minister Bert Koenders is examining whether the cease-fire agreement for Ukraine does include amnesty for the perpetrators of the MH17 disaster. While the MH17 disaster is not specifically mentioned in the accord signed on Thursday, Dutch parliamentarians are urgently seeking clarification of the agreement's text and assurance that it will be able to persecute the perpetrators, reported nos.nl.

Dutch investigators on the ground in eastern Ukraine have officially begun to salvage the wreckage of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, the Dutch Safety Board announced Sunday. The Boeing 777 crashed near Donetsk in mid July on its way to Kuala Lumpur. Nearly 300 people died on the flight that took off from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.

According to a Ukrainian official in Donetsk, the Dutch investigative team working to recover the victims of the crashed Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 made no efforts to communicate with the Ukrainian team who were in the area for the first five days after the crash. An army spokesperson has announced that at least ten Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in Shaktarsk in rebel-held eastern Ukraine, south-west of the MH17 crash site. The army spokesperson in Kiev says that another four have died, but it is unclear whether these are soldiers or rebels, the ANP reports.

A group of air crash investigators and international monitors finally managed to reach the crash site of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, according to the mission's official Twitter account. They insist rather that they have always worked "effectively" together with the organization.
