Hundreds of Dutch Protestant pastors, prominent people in the church, as well as the party leader and a senator of Christian party SGP, signed a manifesto against LGBTQ people. The manifesto argues that marriage is meant to only be a covenant between one man and one woman, and that good Christians should always reject homosexuality. It also suggests that your sexual identity is something you can be healed of.

The number of Dutch transgenders who changed their gender on their passport increased significantly following the implementation of the transgender law. Between 2007 and 2014 about 80 people per year changed their gender on their passport, according to figures from social and cultural planning office SCP. In 2015 there were 770 gender changes, NU.nl reports.

From next year the basic health insurance will only reimburse breast implants for transgender women without any breast growth at all, according to a letter from Health Minister Edith Schippers.
