The police arrested 23-year-old criminal A. el B. from Diemen this week on suspicion of involvement in at least three attempted assassinations on Amsterdam criminals, Het Parool reports. The suspect himself survived an attempt on his life in 2016 and was previously twice convicted for illegal firearm possession.

The group of perpetrators suspected of assassinating Chahid Yakhlaf in Kerkdriel on 31 December 2015, planned another attack a month before Yahklaf's murder. The Public Prosecutor is accusing two of the suspected perpetrators, 38-year-old Don M. and 43-year-old Frans H., of a failed assassination that was planned to happen in Utrecht, Het Parool reports.

On Tuesday the police arrested another two men suspected of involvement in the assassination of Amsterdam criminal Eaneas Lomp in Krommenie in 2015. Last week 39-year-old Dani M. was arrested in connection with this same case.
The suspects arrested on Tuesday are 23-year-old Hicham M. and 27-year-old Omar L., both from Amsterdam, NU.nl reports. They will be arraigned on Friday.

The police arrested a second suspect in connection with the assassination of criminal Chahid Yakhlaf in Kerkdriel last year. The 26-year-old man from Rotterdam was arrested in the Penitentiary in Alphen aan den Rijn on Friday, NU.nl reports.

A 22-year-old Amsterdam man was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of involvement in the assassination of criminal Chahid Yakhlaf in Kerdriel on December 31st, 2015, NU.nl reports.
Yakhlaf, 27, was gunned down while sitting in his car with two others on the camp ground where he was staying. The other two people in the car, one of which is Yakhlaf's brother, were only slightly injured.
