Two separate crashes in Glanerbrug and Maastricht leave one dead, two seriously injured

A man was killed in a crash in Glanerbrug, while a woman and a child were seriously injured in a separate incident in Maastricht on Friday evening, according to police.

In Glanerbrug, a 28-year-old man from Enschede died after his car collided with a truck on the N35, police said. The fatal crash occurred shortly before 8 p.m. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the collision.

In a separate case in Maastricht, a woman and a child were seriously injured after being struck by a car. The crash happened shortly after 7 p.m. on Dorpstraat in the Heer district, police said. Both victims were transported to a hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Police closed part of Dorpstraat to investigate the scene. The driver of the car involved in the Maastricht incident has been arrested.
